NCC Electrical Safety Awareness for Aftersales Work

This programme has been developed for Caravan Holiday Home manufacturing engineers that carry out work on or with electrical equipment in Caravan Holiday Homes.

This programme will embed knowledge and principles of electrical installations that give you the skills to maintain a safe system of work.  You will confidently and safely be able to remove and replace electrical accessories, equipment and components.  Be able to offer a basic inspection particularly around extension leads, tent sets, portable appliances. 

Additionally, this programme will look at the basic siting problems around low current provision and small supply cables causing apparent faults.

This is a competence-based programme where you will demonstrate a thorough knowledge  and practical ability for: safe working, control of work activities, cable preparation and termination; and the safe removal/replacement of electrical components within a Caravan Holiday Home. 

The aim of this programme is to provide training for selected persons, in the skills and knowledge that achieve the standards of competence to carry out work safely, when working on or with electrical equipment in Caravan Holiday Homes.  Further, to provide a simple translation of the current Acts, Regulations and Standards, for promoting electrical safety and the duty imposed on a person to work safely while at work.

Fees are based on a maximum of 6 persons per course.

This course is undergoing CPD certification and is an NCC recognised qualification.


On successful completion of your training you will receive a NCC Certificate of Competence in Electrical Safety Awareness for Aftersales Work.


This course is a one-day classroom and practical on-site training course with continuous assessment through in-course question/answer sessions and an additional practical assessment to prove competency.
