My Safe Place Southern partners with UK holiday parks that are committed to becoming neurodivergent-friendly. We offer a range of tailored training and consultancy services. Our expert team brings together decades of leadership experience in the holiday park industry and personal lived experience with neurodivergence.  Our training programmes will give you the knowledge and confidence to build truly inclusive teams and environments.

 

What We Do


We deliver practical training and ongoing support to help you create neurodivergent-inclusive holiday parks and workplaces. Our aim is to future proof your organisation by making neurodivergence a priority, not an afterthought, ensuring that every guest and team member feels welcome and supported.  Once your park has participated in My Safe Place training then we will be able to market your parks to the millions of families in the UK looking to book a holiday.

Online Format

Duration: 1 hour

  • Simple, practical training for all frontline holiday park staff.
  • Introduction to neurodiversity.
  • Covers sensory and emotional regulation, spotting signs of distress, and quick practical responses.
  • Includes interactive scenario-based questions to complete
  • Certificate issued on completion.

    Course:  Entertainment Team Workshop & Inclusive Activities

    Who Is This For? Holiday Park Entertainment Team/Activity Providers

    Online Format:  £75.00 + Vat per person,  Min 7 – Maximum 20

    Duration: 90 minutes

     Introduction to neurodiversity.

    • Understanding the barriers: How sensory input (sound, light, smells, crowds) and emotional regulation affect children’s ability to join in.
    • Making activities predictable: Using visual schedules, consistent routines, and clear introductions to reduce anxiety.
    • Adapting high energy sessions: Offering opt-in roles, regulating volume/lighting, and providing flexible ways to participate.
    • Low-arousal alternatives: Building in quiet, calm activities that run alongside main sessions.
    • Group management without extra staff.
    • Scripts and inclusive language: Practical wording to encourage, support, and redirect children in a positive way.
    • Practical examples tailored to your parks planned activities and entertainment programme.
